My basketball dude

Last summer Cooper started showing a lot of interest in basketball. It has been so fun. He lives for basketball! Collin and him can go on and on about all the players in the NBA, he has if favorites (Kobe Bryant), his favorite team (The Lakers) and he knows basically anything about any player. Collin loves it, I have a few things to learn. :) Jr. Jazz season started in December and he had a blast with it. If was finally so fun to go and see him play. Not that it was ever not fun to see him at first, but you kind of watched you watch wondering how much time was left. This year I could sit and watch him play forever. You can tell he really loves it.
The best is his outfit, he has the Jr Jazz jersey on, Laker shorts and Air Jordan shoes, a little mixture of everything.
Here are a few of my favorite shots. Excuse the blurriness, I am still learning how to take pictures with my camera and have a lot of work to do in this department.

Foul shot
Bringing the ball down. He has this thing he does with his tongue. I love it.

Now that basketball is over I am not sure what we are going to do to keep this kid entertained. I wish they had some fun spring leagues that he could play in. It was a great season Cooper!

Pinewood Derby

In January Cooper participated in his first Pinewood Derby, he loved it. We have an awesome
We are so lucky to have great people in charge of our scouting program that overdo themselves each time. It was a great experience.
Cooper and Collin worked on the car together and I helped him with the decorating. Our little Cooper is a Lakers fan all the way so there would be nothing better than a Kobe Bryant Pinewood Derby car. (The yellow car below)

Cooper ended up doing pretty good, he took 4th place I think out of like 16 or so cars, better than what we anticipated. :)

Doesn't he look like he is 12 in the picture? Getting so big. :(
Here is Coop with a few of the awesome scouts in our ward. We are really lucky to have such great kids surrounding Coop.
Cooper and a proud dad!
Cooper and his proud grandparents.

You did great Cooper!

Christmas...Really?

As we are all aware, Christmas was more than a month ago. I really can't believe it has only been a month ago, it seems like it has been at least 2 months. Anyway, yes, I am just getting around to posting Christmas. I guess I really haven't wanted to post Christmas and the more the times slips away, I really don't want to. Maybe if I would keep up to date on all of my posts it really wouldn't be such a drag to post them. So here is the Christmas breakdown, really broken down...

For Christmas Eve we spent the day/night with Collin's family. We first went to Solider Hollow and went tubing, it was a blast! This was something that could have really been a hit or miss with our little family. We have learned that we just can't really go in public with Bode and Peiton at the same time, it ends up in a disaster. Most of the time we take chance it is a miss, never a hit. But this time, it was a HIT! Bode loved the tubing, he would't get out of the tube until it was time to go and then he got out but he wasn't about to go. Peiton did mighty fabulous almost the whole time until the very end when she didn't want to go anymore. I think it freaked her out a little bit, but she was a sport and did a good job.
Grandpa and Bode headed down the hill.
Peiton done for the day.

Cooper had a great time, he thought it was pretty sweet!

The Orme's
When we were done sledding Bode found this big mountain of snow, he did not want to leave it. He played for a bit and then it was time to go.
Collin had to carry him out.
and this is what we had to calm down...so sad:(
Yes, we were both there. :)

We then went to Collin's parents for yummy dinner and present opening.
Cooper was a little excited....o'wait that is how he is all the time.

This was Cooper's favorite present EVER! His Kobe Bryant jersey. He has been asking for this for quite sometime and he finally got it. Cooper doesn't show excitement that great, but he showed it pretty good when he opened this gift up.

The next day was Christmas Day. We started off the morning by lining up on the stairs before we went downstairs.
Here is the great shot that I was able to capture. I promise it wasn't 3:00 am, it looks like it could have been that early the way Coop is looking. Although, Bode thinks he looks pretty cool...but he always thinks that. :)
Peiton was so fun to watch open her presents, she loved all of them!
Cooper got matching shorts to match his jersey.
Bode got Despicable Me which I think has been watched maybe 150 times since Christmas. Yes, that is more than one time per day, funny thing is, I still love the movie.:)

Christmas night we went and celebrated with the Van Wagoner's at my parents home. We had dinner and opened gifts, again.

Peiton became a little too obsessed with lip gloss this Christmas. She is still a little obsessed.

Christmas was fabulous this year! We were so blessed to be surrounded by family and friends. We had so many acts of kindness that came our way that our hearts were extremely full this year, we couldn't have been more grateful. Thanks to everyone that made it special, we may not know who you are, but thank you!

On New Year's Day we celebrated with the Van Wagoner Family. Grandma Van throws us a party as our gift from her, this year, Kerry and Coralee did a fantastic job. Here are just a few photos of the festivities...
Grandma Venice, the woman to started it all. :)
Hollie and Russ
Bode wanted to run away and not stay and eat, letting him feed me was the only way I could get him to stay. It was quite the experience. The food was catered by Goodwood and it was fabulous!

Allison and Tyler
We had a bounce house that kept the kids pretty busy, especially Shawn and Bode. :)
Ohh laa laa!
We had a face painter come... can you guess who this is? Well it is Corey, but it is Corey painted like Sponge Bob.
Stacy, Allison and Brittany
Rachelle, Hollie and Alisha

After we ate and hung out for a while. We did a talent show which was pretty fun. Most of the girls in our family did a glow stick dance which was fun to do. Cooper had made his own little dance up to Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal and Bode did a dance to the music from Despicable me. It was pretty cute. If I wasn't too lazy I would post the videos on here, maybe another time...yeah right.
