Annual Tuacahn Trip

From Top Left: Jacki, Stacy, Pam, Grandma Zenda, Peggy, Angie, Cobi, Deni
Nat, Jacklyn, Preslee, Mckenzie

Yesterday I got back from Annual Girls onlyTuacahn Trip. This is a trip I look forward to every year. My Grandma takes my mom and my sisters, her other daughter, Peggy, and all of her girls down to St. George for the weekend. We stay in her house and go to the Tuacahn plays each night. And kids are only allowed on certain exceptions...baby Max, we loved you there! We all have great husbands that make it possible for us to do this. (Really Collin, I appreciate you letting me go and your willingness to stay home with the kids, your wonderful! And thanks Holly for helping him out too, I really appreciate it!)

We left Wednesday night and came home Sunday afternoon. It is a weekend packed fun of eating, shopping, karaoke, talking, sleeping, and did I mention shopping?? I always look forward to this trip because it is a much needed break and then I get to be with my Grandma, Aunt and Cousins. I don't see my cousins to much during the year, so this is a trip we can get to know each other better. We always have such a good time, especially when we whoop their booties in karaoke!

This is one of the many restaurants we ate at...The Egg and I. It was pretty good, I had a yummy whole wheat, raspberry and granola pancake that was delicious!!
I would just like to thank my grandma for the wonderful time I had. Like I said before it is one trip that I always look forward to and it is always such a good time. I am so thankful for her for making it possible for us. Love you Grandma!

Hollie we missed you this year! I sure hope Jerry Seinfield was worth it! O'yeah, and you just had a baby 2 weeks ago, that gives you permission for missing out on the fun. And hopefully Alisha and Rachelle will be able to join us next year, you will have a blast!

The Bachelorette Part 2

Alright so here I go off again about The Bachelorette. For all those fans, wasn't last night crazy??? I was mad, happy, and in tears a few times during the episode, it was crazy! Yes call me pathetic, but I am really liking this season and it was a very emotional episode. It first started out with Jason and his son, now that was the cutest little homecoming ever! It did make me like Jason a little more. I have always liked him, but he just really hasn't done it for me. Maybe it is because I see Deanna with him and they get along great, but there isn't really that physical connection between the two of them.
So, lets move on....Graham is outta here. :( I was routing for Graham, I was hoping he would put himself out there and open up and just tell her how he feels.) He was great with her at the begining of the date and then he started to show his true colors. I actually admit, he was bugging me, he was being such a jerk when they were sitting on the bench and at the rose ceremony when he was just standing there laughing when he didn't get picked...he is kind of prideful I am thinking. But it killed me when they were talking and you could really tell that he did like her and then he gave her the letter....holy cow! I felt so bad for him at that point, but then he blew it himself by the way he acted. I was way proud of Deanna for letting him go because she is so in to him and that had to be way hard for her to do. But now the question is, who is she going to connect with like she did with Graham? For her sake I hope she connects with one of them because she really wants to find someone (or so it seems). '
Jeremy...still not liking him.
Jesse....I kind of liked him more during their date, but still he just doesn't do it for me yet. Maybe he could cut his hair and he would look a little better.
So here we go again, give me your thoughts on the episode. And I probably sound like such a dork, but I am really loving this show!

"Sweet Sweat"

This morning when I came home from my run, I was sitting upstairs on the floor stretching looking at all the coloring on the walls that Bode did about 3 months ago. I took my foot (my socks were still on) and started rubbing some of the crayon and trying to get it off (I have already scrubbed the wall and didn't want to use the baking soda this time because it takes a little bit of the enamel of the paint off) and to my surprise, the crayon started coming off. I was amazed! I wasn't sure if it was the fabric of my socks that took it off, or if it was my "sweet sweat," it could have been a mixture of both I suppose, but whatever it was I was loving it. Now this kind of gets disgusting, but I was convinced to get the rest of the crayon off and I was running out of sweat. So, I would take my sock and rub it on the sweaty parts of my body to get more sweat...I know disgusting, but it was saving me so much time and it was working. So thanks to great socks and some "sweet sweat", my walls are now clean. And don't worry, after I was done I did clean my walls with an antibacterial cleaner to get off the "sweet sweat." I think in the future I might extract as much sweat from my body and use it as a daily cleaner....not really!

Bode's Preschool Graduation

Today our little Bode had his 1st year of Preschool Graduation. It was such a fun thing to see and it was short and sweet which is always the best. We were so proud of him, he did such a good job. Truthfully I was expecting him running around the stage and not participating at all, it seems like he does that whenever his parents are around. Surprisingly he was such a cutie and did just what he was suppose to, except wear his hat, but that I can deal with. It has been such a great experience for him going to preschool. He has loved the bus ride to and from, he loves his teachers (they do such a good job with him) and he seems to love all the activities they do. And mom loves it because it gives me a break twice a week for 3 hours, next year will even be better.Bode doing the graduation walk...without the hat of coarse.

Who is number 1? Bode is number 1!
Here is a little video of the graduation. I tried to cut some things out but there were to many cute things that I had to put on it. It is kind of long, but so fun to see (at least his parents think it is fun, you could think it is super boring...but you might as well give it a shot). :) Ignore the laughs from Collin and I, we were just so surprised to see him doing all the actions.

Neighborhood block party

Yesterday we had our Annual block party. I believe this is the 3rd one since we have lived in our house. We absolutely LOVE our neighborhood and our fabulous neighbors. We have made so many good friends and have made so many fun memories with our neighborhood. Here is just a few photos to show the fun time we had.

A little rundown....

I finally got my interent working today after being out since Thursday. You don't realize how much you use the computer until you are forced to go without it for 5 days. We have had some fun things happen in our family over the last week. Here is just a little rundown on what has been going on.

WeLcOMe HoMe JaSOn!

Jason, Alicia and Issac

(Alicia had to spend her pregnancy alone while Jason was in Iraq, thankfully he was able to come home for the birth of Issac and then had to leave shortly after. Alicia has been such a trooper through this whole experience.) I am so glad that they are finally together as a family again. We love you guys!

On Saturday we were able to go to a family welcome home party for Collin's cousin Alicia's husband, Jason (if that's not confusing, I could have probably put it a much simpler way). Jason got back from Iraq about a month ago and we are so glad to have him home safe. I am so thankful for all the many soldiers putting their life's on hold and leaving their families to go fight for our freedom. They are so amazing and we are so blessed because of them.

We had a great time eating, visiting, playing water games, volleyball and just being together. It is always great to see the Lund's since we don't see them too often. Thanks for a great time!

Father's Day Dinner

On Friday night my family went to dinner to celebrate Father's day for my dad. It is not very often that we can all get together without the kids, so when it does happen we have a great time. Everyone was able to make it and without the kids you are actually able to talk and have a conversation without being interrupted. I love to spend time with my family, we all are so different from each other, but so a like. We always have such a great time together and I know they will always be there for me. Hollie we missed you, but we were glad that Russ was able to make it.

I hope my dad had a wonderful Father's day. He is such a great father and I appreciate all he does for me and our family. Love you dad!

Sisters....Hollie we missed you!

US Open

Last Sunday Collin left me to go to the practice rounds of the US Open with his dad. He had such an amazing experience. I think he was truly just in La La land because it was so awesome. He was just a few feet away from Tiger as he would practice and T off. They said the first day they walked 10 hours straight maybe resting for about 15 minutes, just going all over the golf course following all of the players. He loved the fact that when he was actually watching the tournament on TV, he knew all the holes and he knew exactly what the course looked like. I am so glad that he was able to go and spend this time with his dad, it was just the two of them and he absolutely loved it. They hope to make it back when the tournament is at Pebble Beach again. And go Tiger! Congrats on being the champion!

Welcome Little Kate

My sister Hollie, FINALLY, had her little baby girl on Wednesday. She was a little over a week overdue and little Sunshine (that is what we called her until she had the name Kate) just didn't want to come out quite yet. Hollie is one of those tough chickitas that likes to have her babies naturally....no epidural! I think she is kinda crazy, but hey I am a whimp. Finally the doctor said we are going to induce you and she still went naturally....she amazes me. We are so glad that little Kate is finally here. She is one cute baby! Congrats Hollie and Russ on your new little addition

"Words by Cooper"

Cooper: "Mom what is the name of the most poisionous spider that is black or brown?"

Mom: "I am not sure Coop, the black widow?"

Cooper: "No it isn't the black widow, when it bites you it leaves a bruise on your skin and then it turns purple and all of the poision goes inside you and kills you."

Mom: "Wow, did you learn that in school?"

Cooper: "No, Uncle Cam told me and he is smarter than you because he is a teenager or maybe a young adult (Cam is 26, I think). I will have to ask him again."

So I guess I am really not that smart, and Cam you are the smartest person in the eyes of Cooper. (I am not saying you aren't smart, but Cooper thinks you are really smart and he thinks you are a teenager, which cracks me up the most....he loves ya!)

What's your opinion?

So I know we have a lot of Bachelorette fans out there (admit it, you know you love the show) I am just wondering what some of your opinions are....

So first we have low and behold...Jeremy, Mr. Fabulous! (so he thinks) My opinion on Jeremy is that he is kinda buggin a little bit. I see that he is there for Deanna and all, but come on let her have some space. He is always sitting right by her and touching her whenever all the guys are around, it is kind of getting annoying. I am really not sure if I really like him or not.

Then there is Graham....O'boy Graham, Mr. Hot Stuff. He definitely has the looks going for him. He is by far the cutest one and there we go, she must like him. And you can really tell that she really has the hots for him, she is always the one that goes in for the kiss. I like it that he is kind of playing hard to get and not constantly there like Jeremy is. Go Graham!

Now we have Jason...Mr. Nice Guy. He is really a sweet guy, but I am thinking that may not be up Deanna's isle. She likes them nice, but this nice....I do like Jason though, I wouldn't mind if he made it to the final 4, even final 2.

So what about Twilley....Mr. Goof ball, you always have to have one of those. I don't see him lasting too much longer.

Jesse, Jesse, Jesse....Mr. Cool guy. He is fun, sincere, a little wild but do you really see them together?? I don't.

And last but not least....Shawn, Mr. Martial arts. I am really surprised that he has stuck around this long. I for sure thought he would have been gone long ago. He did do something good by cutting his locks off, he looks much better and has kind of grown on me more, although I don't see him staying around much longer either.

And now what do you think about the Bachelorette?? I wasn't too pumped about her at first, I really didn't like her in The Bachelor, but she has grown on me and I think she is doing a great job. But let me remind you "She has been there before, she knows how it feels." Please, we all know you have been there before, including the guys, please don't remind us over and over again.

So that is my little run down on The Bachelorette. Tell me your opinions, I would love to hear them!

Cooper's oral Presentation & head injury

Yesterday was quite the eventful day for Cooper. First we will start with the little head injury. In the morning Coop and I were downstairs in the basement while I was trying to catch a little run in on the treadmill. Cooper wanted a sucker and was having a hard time getting the wrapper off so he came over to me for some assistance. I put both of my legs on the side of the treadmill and left the treadmill going, (yes I am too lazy to turn it to pause, I then would have to start it all up again and that my friends is a little too much work.) So Cooper decides to be silly and thinks he can get on the treadmill with me ( I know that he isn't thinking "this is going way to fast, in fact he probably doesn't even know how treadmills really work, he is only 6.) Well he starts to put one foot on and as I am screaming "NO, don't!" His foot touches the treadmill and it throws him back and he gets thrown right into the cement wall behind the treadmill. O' Crap!! He was already covered in blood and I had no idea where it was coming from, I was scared out of my mind. He then started screaming that his head hurt and sure enough the blood was just squirting out of his head (literally) I didn't know what to do besides say "We have to go to the doctor, your gonna need stitches!" This freaked him out and he screamed even more. I got some pressure on it and it still kept coming out. I wasn't able to see how big the cut was because the blood just kept coming. I then called my mother-in-law who had Bode and told her she needs to come over while I take Coop to the Dr, she then told me that head wounds bleed a lot worse than other wounds and to kind of watch it. So sure enough after about 7 to 10 minutes it finally slowed down on the bleeding and I could tell that everything was going to be okay. Thank goodness! He was still a little shook up, but relieved that he wasn't going to get stitches. Well he was supose to be at school in two hours to do a oral presentation on a animal of his choice. Luckily, he pulled threw and was able to make it. (Sorry no pic of the head wound...I was a little busy at the time, and there is just a mark about a 1/2 inch long on his head, so there really isn't much to see.)

He did such a good job on his oral presentation. He made the poster of a Killer Whale all by himself (you can see it in the background of the picture.) He memorized everything and only forgot to say one thing. I couldn't have been more proud.

Cooper doing the oral report.

Here is the video of the report...he did so good. Turn the music on pause and make sure your volume is up, it is kind of quiet. I love that he was acting like he was reading it, when none of the things he was saying were actually on the piece of paper. I think it might have been a comfort thing. Good job Coop! I can't believe you are old enough to do a oral report.

I must say I sure am glad that day is over with!

Yummy, yum, yum!

Strawberries have always been my favorite fruit. I LOVE anything with strawberries in it. Cooper has started to LOVE strawberries too, he could eat a whole case in one day. Well the other day we were at the store and I always look at the carton to see if all the strawberries are good and this huge one was in there. Granted it was so big that there was like only 4 other strawberries with it. I showed it to Coop and he HAD to have it. So I bought the carton and we went home and together enjoyed yummy strawberries with sugar on top.
At least that is one part of this summer that I am enjoying, it definitely isn't the weather.

Coop enjoying every little bit of the strawberry....

Nobody ever told me I moved to SEATTLE...seriously!

I am SO sick of this rain....I feel like I am in Seattle!
