Girls Tuacahn Getaway

This was the 12th Annual Girls Tuacahn Getaway! I can't believe it has been 12 years! Every single year I look forward to this and I have only missed it one year. It is so great to get away with my mom, sisters, grandma and cousins. I only see my cousins a couple times a year so it is so much fun to spend the weekend with them. We missed you Denni and Preslee!
Grandma and Mom-the ones that make it happen for us!
Cousin Cobi
Every year we go to the Bear Claw to have a yummy breakfast. Here we all are waiting to get seated.

Yum, yum!

We made a visit to our favorite new spot, SWIGS, so GOOD! They have sugar cookies that they frost right before they serve them, they are scrumptious! They also have delicious Shaved Ice.
I think we made two or three stops while we were there.

Hollie didn't even have to hold her snow cone, it rested perfectly on her belly.:)

We did a little swimming thanks to Aunt Julie letting us use her pool.

On Thursday and Friday night we go to the Tuacahn plays, Thursday night was Grease. Grease was cute, I think I expected more though. I feel that each year they really focus on one of the plays and this year they really focused on Little Mermaid, so Grease wasn't as good as anticipated. The Little Mermaid was really good though. They did such a great job with it.
The last night we leave a little early and take a few pictures of the whole group. This year we did a few photo shoots of a few of us....

This is Grandma's photo shoot, such a fun lady!
Ohh laa, laa! Stacy!
Rrrrr....
Hollie being so seductive I couldn't even concentrate on focusing the camera.
and then there was Jacki, the most beautiful of them all....:)

I already can't wait until next year! Thanks Grandma!

Tuacahn

A week ago I was able to go to St. George with my mom, sisters, Grandma Zenda, Aunt Peggy and all of her girls. This is the 10th year that we have done this. I have been to all of them but one. Every year it gets better. My Grandma has a house down in St. George and she buys us tickets to see both of the Tuacahn plays that are showing. We make it a super long weekend (not long enough) and head down on Wednesday night, while the husbands are left home with the kiddos....ahhh heaven! No packing kids in the car, buckling them in car seats, no waking up in the middle of the night (just to Jacki snoring), no screaming (well unless you are a Mckenzie girl) and no crying (unless you are me). We have a blast!

Mom, Rachelle, Jacki, Grandma Zenda, Peggy, Cobi, Angie

Hollie, Stacy, Preslee, Me, McKenzie, Denni

We spent the weekend shopping, at the pool, eating, seeing a movie, more shopping, more eating, seeing another movie, plays, games, giggles, more eating, more shopping, another play, games, and more eating....

I am so glad that my Grandma does this for us. It helps us get to know each other better. I feel that if we didn't do this we wouldn't be as close as we are. So thanks grandma again and again for letting me spend time with you and everyone else. And thanks Collin for always being willing to take the kiddos! Your the best! Alisha we missed you this year!!

Annual Tuacahn Trip

From Top Left: Jacki, Stacy, Pam, Grandma Zenda, Peggy, Angie, Cobi, Deni
Nat, Jacklyn, Preslee, Mckenzie

Yesterday I got back from Annual Girls onlyTuacahn Trip. This is a trip I look forward to every year. My Grandma takes my mom and my sisters, her other daughter, Peggy, and all of her girls down to St. George for the weekend. We stay in her house and go to the Tuacahn plays each night. And kids are only allowed on certain exceptions...baby Max, we loved you there! We all have great husbands that make it possible for us to do this. (Really Collin, I appreciate you letting me go and your willingness to stay home with the kids, your wonderful! And thanks Holly for helping him out too, I really appreciate it!)

We left Wednesday night and came home Sunday afternoon. It is a weekend packed fun of eating, shopping, karaoke, talking, sleeping, and did I mention shopping?? I always look forward to this trip because it is a much needed break and then I get to be with my Grandma, Aunt and Cousins. I don't see my cousins to much during the year, so this is a trip we can get to know each other better. We always have such a good time, especially when we whoop their booties in karaoke!

This is one of the many restaurants we ate at...The Egg and I. It was pretty good, I had a yummy whole wheat, raspberry and granola pancake that was delicious!!
I would just like to thank my grandma for the wonderful time I had. Like I said before it is one trip that I always look forward to and it is always such a good time. I am so thankful for her for making it possible for us. Love you Grandma!

Hollie we missed you this year! I sure hope Jerry Seinfield was worth it! O'yeah, and you just had a baby 2 weeks ago, that gives you permission for missing out on the fun. And hopefully Alisha and Rachelle will be able to join us next year, you will have a blast!
