Mamma Mia!

Rachelle, Alisha, Mom, Lexee (might as well be our sister) Hollie, Stacy, Nat, Jacki

Last night I went to Mamma Mia with all my sisters and my mom. I loved it! I saw the Broadway production a couple of years ago with our friends the Peck's. It kind of was a last minute decision and there were only a few seats left. Low and behold when we got there, our seats were the very last row on the balcony at the Capital Theater. We sat through the whole show squinting, wiping the blood off our noses and listening to this sound the whole time...chaa, chaa, choo....chaa, chaa, choo....we had a sweet gentlemen next to us that was on oxygen and that is what we heard the whole time. We crack up whenever we think about it. Besides all of that I did enjoy the show.

Well last year my mom took me and all of my sisters to see it at the Capital Theatre again, we had much better seats! I absolutely loved it! I loved the acting, the singing and the music was awesome! Stacy and Alisha (Stacy had a thing for Collin Firth especially at the end when he is dancing with his shirt off...ohh baby. And Alisha didn't agree with me on Pearce's singing...she loved it, right Alisha?)

Last night was awesome too! It is just a fun, happy show that leaves you in the best mood. My friend Heidi describes it the best. She did a great review of the show on her blog. I thought Meryl Streep did a great job, Sophie (which is the chick in Mean Girls, another fabulous movie) did a good job and I LOVED the mom's friend, the short haired one, I swear she is the one in the Broadway play, it looks just like her. She was hilarious! Now as for Pearce Bronsan...super goofy, not so much a singer, but good to look at. The movie in all just makes you want to get up and dance and at the end Stacy and I couldn't help it, we got up and boogied! That is what I love about the play, at the end everyone is on their feet shakin' it, is should be the same way in the theatres. So if you are looking for a fun girls night, I would suggest this film, a little cheesy but a lot of fun.

I am so lucky to have such a fun mom and a bunch of fun sisters. We always have a great time together. Love ya gals!

The thing I LOVE today is music. I am sure most of you feel the same way, we all LOVE music. I LOVE how music can totally change your mood. It can put you in a better mood, make you grateful for things you have, make you sad, make you feel the spirit, etc...etc... I LOVE how music can push me on a long run or a hard workout, it makes or breaks the workout. There is just so many ways music can effect you, I LOVE it! :)

"You're gonna miss this"

Today in gym class, my cute instructor Debbie played this song for our cool down. It is a new song sang by Trace Adkins called, "You're gonna miss this." I was literally holding back the tears as I was listening to this song. It talks about life in general and how when we get through this stage in life, we are going to miss those times with our little ones, and miss all the fun things that we were able to do. It just made me want to run in the house and love and hug my kids. We go through life so quick, and we just can't wait until they do "this" and "that" because we want our lifes to be easier and we want to get through the hard stages. But, there is so much in this stage of life that I need to soak up and enjoy. At the Super Bowl party last night, all the sisters were talking about pregnancy, I was saying "I was pretty much done" (which I still am), and then we were saying how we wish they could come out as two year olds so we don't have to worry about the late nights, the feedings, etc. And now I feel so bad about that because I need to cherish every little moment I have with my baby, because this will probably be my last. I need to just eat her up, and eat up all the fun Bode CAN be and the things he teaches me. I need to enjoy this time with Cooper when he is learing how to read, and just learning all this new stuff, because before I know it, he will be in Junior High and friends will be his highest priority, not his lame-o mom. Sorry, to go on and on about this, but it just really hit me hard. So, thanks to Debbie for the emotional gym time, I think I really needed it. And to all of you take a minute to listen to this song, download it on I-tunes or something, it is really good and it puts things in perspective.
