Well we got the MRI results yesterday and we were told that Collin would be needing surgery on his knee. Apparently he tore the cartilage behind his left knee and it needs to be fixed otherwise, there can be some serious damage to his knee. He tried to talk the Doctor into letting him do it after the cruise, but he said "no way, you need to get it done right away." We were very lucky that they were able to fit him in today. So, my husband had knee surgery today...pretty crazy. Now, that it is all said and done, the surgery went great. From the MRI results it looked like the cartilage tore in a straight line, which was a great thing. If the doctor got in there and it was all torn up, it could have been pretty bad. When they got in there, it was a straight tear, but he still had to remove some of the cartilage. The doctor hopes this will make the recovery quicker...we are praying that it does. Now my poor husband has to lay in bed for the rest of the week, and his feet can't touch the ground unless the bathroom is calling his name.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that he will recover quickly, like 11 days quickly. I am so glad that everything went okay and that he is home safe and sound.

Glad to know it went well. He will get better in 11 days because you will take awesome care of him. Maybe you should hook a catheter up to him so he doesn't even need to get up to go to the bathroom. If you need anything don't hesitate to call.
Whew....that's done...Now he just needs to recover quickly (for your sake Nat). I don't envy you one bit...you're going to be a very busy gal. Just remember your friends are here to help out in any way possible. We'll have the guys entertain Collin somehow???
Glad his surgery went well. We will keep him in our prayers. Good Luck!
Natalie....oh my gosh...We're just glad to hear that the surgery went well and that there were no permanent damages if you know what I mean? I'm sure his leg will recover quickly...just in time for the cruise.
I'm glad everything went well, I hope he recovers soon! I am so jealous you're going on a cruise :)You will both have a great time!
Poor guy! Hope that he feels better soon.
The countdown begins! If you need anything, besides hooking him up to a catheter, PLEASE let me know.
Seriously Collin, would it have been too much to ask that you do this any other day than bunco?? Thanks a lot! ;)
We'll miss you Nat! You're a good wife!
Ahhhh......poor Collin!! We hope you get feelin' better tough guy! We love you!
Darren had similar surgery in November, where his cartilidge was cleaned out. He was up and walking around just fine in a week. Hopefully Collin heals just as quickly!!
